Boadicea
This faboulus figurine is the second in the series. Based on the painting, originally done for the 1982 calendar.
It portrays, in a glamorous way. the historical character "Boadicea/Boudicca", the Queen of the Celtic Iceni tribe, based in the south east of England, who led a rebellion against the occupying Romans in 62AD.
The figurine is expertly hand painted and made of resin with metal hands and other vulnerable details. It includes real leather trim, removable shield with full figure behind it, movable metal bracelets on wrists and beautifully crafted metal sword which comes out of the scaberd.
The base is made of real varnished wood and resin.
Originally, a limited edition of 3000, now expected to close with only 300 produced worldwide. They come with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Artist. The figurine is 14 inches (36cm) high including the wooden base.
The figurine is encased and protected by a polysthering mould, fitted in an attractive full colour display box.
